Add a CommentNo new 'tricks' with this prequel compared to the last film. Same routine. Slow start ~ reasonably scarier towards the strange ending.
A few "pop-up" scares did little to impress me. Attempts to tell an origin tale in the form of another prequel. I was entertained enough to watch it to the end, but nothing to write home about. With as much money as this franchise has to have made, it's pretty sad.
They pulled out all the stops for this one. Leaving all the subtlety and pretty much rewriting the entire story line from the first movie. This entity seemed like a brat that needs to be spanked for its tantrums. I must say the best part of this movie was the kitchen scene and the scene with the sheet. The ending will make you go "WTF!?" not in that surprising way, more in an annoyed stop making these movies a set-up for your next one. ETA: there is going to be a fourth movie coming out this October. This is going on like the Saw movies and none of those movies are entertaining in the least. Please make it STOP! Stop with the franchises that have no depth or meaning to them.
I will admit, I dont usually like the Paranormal Activity movies, but my husband was watching this one with me. Let me warn you - this one will make you jump! More than once! Overall, a decent movie, but as YahikoPain mentioned, it makes you wonder what is coming next.
This movie started out really good but at the end, it will leave you with "What?!" Or "That's it?!"
