Oui, les forces du bon en soi. S'imprégner du bon. Avoir le courage de se regarder en face et de faire les changements nécessaires. Très réaliste et très touchant.

There's nothing groundbreaking or earth-shattering in this film. There's no message we haven't heard a 1,000 times before. Do you really need a poorly made documentary to tell you that money doesn't buy happiness, negative energy affects us, society is inter-dependent, and the solution is to come together and be the change we want to see? I guess the filmmaker needed to but he doesn't come across as real "deep" to begin with. Did he never listen to the lyrics of Get Together by The Youngbloods? A better more humbling and exact alternative would be to pick up the book, Tibet: Culture on the Edge by Phil Borges. There's a deeper message in the last few pages.

Must See – I Am (2010) 76 min. In everyone’s life, a moment of realization propels one into a new direction. An incident disclosed in this film, provides the “aha” moment for one, Tom Shadyac, director of the Ace Ventura films. For all suffering experienced in this world – goodness always emerges. What he realized is the condition of human society and how misdirected we’ve allowed ourselves to become despite great figures in history pointing to “the way”. It’s a film about how society could BE as opposed to what it has become. It marries science and spirituality/religion in a way that is beautifully thought provoking. I loved this documentary; it speaks volumes to how God created man in His own image – the image of community within itself cooperating through love. Highly recommended.

Thought-provoking film whose reason for being made is interesting in itself. Initially, the film is depressing, demonstrating the results of man's constant aggression and current over-the-top "Greed is Good " mentality. As the film progresses, the theme goes from separateness to connectivity. It approaches this connectivity in a novel way - demonstrating the scientific evidence of our connectedness. In doing so, the film has more weight than in a typical new-age connectedness theme. For example, the scene where the yogurt's bacteria responds to the Tom's emotions is effective and memorable. The effect Tom's research has on his own personal life also hits a chord. Tom's big screen experience helps make the film's montage and sound effective, subtle yet work well in the movie. After watching this film, I felt inspired to be more conscious my own actions, which can directly impact my own daily life as well as all life around me. Tom has certainly done his, in creating this film. If, like ripples of water, we each watch this movie, try to live its take-home message and encourage others to watch it, maybe we can eventually bring out the best in the human race on a large and daily scale. Kudos, Tom Shadyac. This may be your most successful film yet!
