Add a CommentThose who were expecting sci-fi will be disappointed with this predictable war movie. The film does, however, have some impressive battle/combat scenes.
A++ DVD
SEMPER FI. --------------------- To make an urban warfare movie set in the USA credible requires the credibility of an extraterrestrial invasion, and that's what we have here. This a pure Semper Fi flick where the only thing that can stop the massive invasion of technologically superior aliens is a platoon of US Marines! Not bad at all, but, for me, cutting 15 minutes or so would have improved the pacing a lot and made a more enjoyable film. But it is still enjoyable.
This is a sick movie bro it feels so good to see it. If you don`t trust see it for your self!!!!
Not bad. More like a war movie than sci-fi.
Imagine "Independence Day", with the look of "District 9" and an emphasis on street-level urban combat like "Black Hawk Down"...and you have an idea of what's going on here. This is a sci-fi action movie with dramatic elements, not a drama that happens to feature aliens and Marines.
From start to finish Strong, Intense, Hard Hitting, Fast Action, A War movie not for Young Kids. This is a Class"A" movie not to be confused with the Poor Quility film 'Battle for Los Angeles' . You will want to see this movie more than once.
This is another one that I liked a lot more then I thought I would. Skyline was poor but Battle: LA is much better. The negatives are a non-existent plot, tonnes of rah rah marine cliches and no real character development to speak of. However, the movie is just so fast paced with cool effects, a neat alien design, great battle scenes, and lots of explosions at least it is not boring. So I have to say I enjoyed it for those simple reasons. But then, I like these types of silly alien invasion movies. Watch "Monsters" for a much cooler movie in a similar theme.
This was a very good alien invasion flick. Good acting and special effects. The story is the same as it always is, the aliens are invading. Somehow, when done well, this concept never gets old to me.
