Add a CommentI liked season three much better than season two. It's getting more complicated, but things are coming home to roost.
I like this oh so much better now that the meth house two over from me has been demolished. My judgment was swayed by my real life version of Breaking Bad. Now that I'm up to season 4, I can see that the creator has a vision about this series as a morality play. I'm glad to see that the wife (played by Anna Gunn) is playing a realistic role (especially in season 4) and that there might be some repercussions to everyone's atrocious behavior(s). Very entertaining and somewhat groundbreaking in the way it's filmed.
Love this show. I just hope the library system gets the 4th season or amc plays it again very soon.
During the third season of Breaking Bad Walter gets kicked out of the house and his wife Skyler begins an affair as well as divorce proceedings. Walter is offered a business opportunity to make huge amounts of meth and money at a state of the art meth lab. Although Jesse is out of drug rehab he wants nothing to do with Walter. Meanwhile Walter's brother-in-law, Hank the DEA agent, is hot on the trail of Jesse and the RV meth lab. Jesse narrowly escapes getting busted and the RV meth lab is destroyed for good. In his anger Hank puts a severe beating on Jesse and gets suspended from the DEA. Two Mexican assassins seek revenge on Walter but they end up making a deal to kill Hank instead. Walter finally pursuades Jesse to work together again and things go smoothly for a while. Ultimately personal and work events get way out of hand and both Walter's and Jesse's lives are put in grave danger.
Just watched season 3 and can't wait for 4...I don't have cable. I really like this show.
Another strong season of what is basically one of the best, if not the best show on TV today. There are so many amazing highlights and major changes to all the characters that the whole meth theme still feels fresh. Amazing acting, suspense, twists. Everything you would want in a TV show. Can't wait to move onto season 4 as soon as it is out on DVD.
The best thing on TV. Don't watch if you can't abide violence (in some cases, extreme) and crave happy endings, but if you appreciate truly first-rate writing, acting, and an incredibly beautiful production, you can't go wrong with Breaking Bad. Lead actors have won well-deserved Emmys (Brian Cranston twice). In a word, brilliant.
Fantastic as a series - not my favorite season of the three. The crazy, killer brothers out to get Hank were a little much and poorly acted and distracted from an otherwise great cast. There is a reason why Brian Cranston has gotten the Emmy award three times for this role - he is believable to the nth degree.
